Course Description: This course will describe the use of essential oils in pregnancy, labor, post-partum depression and difficulty with conceiving.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

• state the basics of essential oil purity and safety in the use of essential oils.
• identify methods of using essential oils during pregnancy and labor, as well as indications for post-partum depression, nursing mothers, or difficulty conceiving.
• discuss how to make blends for pregnancy, labor, post-partum depression, or difficulty conceiving.

Licensed Nurses:  Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0  nursing continuing professional development hour.

AHEC Credit: This educational offering provides 1.0 CEUs ( 1.0 clock hours) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
