Course DescriptionJoin this seasoned Infection Prevention Consultant as she shares information on patient care for staff in hospitals and long-term care that promotes the well- being and protection of their patients’ and residents’ lives. Participants will gain new insight on recommended practices.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss infection prevention procedures.
  • List safe injection practices to protect patients from infection.
  • Model a clean environment to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Examine MDRO’s (Multi-Drug Resistant Organisms).
  • Outline the actions taken when investigating an infection outbreak.
