Course Description: This course will provide participants with an introduction to domestic violence and intimate partner violence.

Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

·        The participant will be able to define domestic/intimate partner violence to include the legal definition.

·        The participant will be able to restate 2 descriptions of abuse that may not necessarily be in the legal definition that will assist them in identifying an abusive situation.

·        Given a patient scenario the participant will be able to identify at least one type of domestic/intimate partner violence.
