Course Description: This course will increase participant perspectives on disparities plaguing populations with low literacy levels. Participants will gain knowledge to properly assess and modify plans of care to ensure optimal health adherence among all patients and families.

Instructional Method: Asynchronous online PowerPoint® lecture, Pre-Test, Post-Test and Evaluation
To pass this course you must view the lecture, complete the pre-test and evaluation and score at least 80% on the post-test.

Define health literacy.
Identify health literacy issues in older adults.
Develop education material that is appropriate for older adults with health literacy issues.
