Course Description:  This course will identify the importance of preparing the long-term care workforce to become compassionate nurturing advocates. The roles and responsibilities of CNA’s will be discussed as well as how to engage CNA’s in person-centered practices.

Target Audience:  Social Workers, Nurses and AHEC.

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of this presentation, the learner will be able to:

  • Discuss the current roles and responsibilities of CNA's
  • Discuss perspectives on the demand for quality CNA's
  • Recall how to engage CNA's in person-centered practices
