Course Description: This course is designed to provide the healthcare provider with increased knowledge about current medications available for the control of blood glucose levels and the role of exercise in controlling blood glucose levels.

Target Audience: Nurses, Dieticians and any other interested healthcare provider
Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Compare the currently available medications for controlling blood glucose levels
- Discuss safety rules and goals for exercise for diabetic patients
Length of Course: 60 minutes
Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0 contact hour.
Dietitians: 1.0 hour of CPE for registered dietitians.
Upstate AHEC Credit: This educational offering provides 0.1 CEU (0.1 clock hour) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
