Course Description: This course will describe and demonstrate the safe and proper methods to mix essential oils.

Target Audience: All persons interested in aromatherapy
Learning Outcomes: After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:
- discuss the basics of essential oil purity and safety in using essential oils.
- verbalize the difference between individual and pre-made blends of essential oils and when each is used.
- list methods of how to make larger quantity blends, including calculations of amounts for ingredients and what materials are necessary to do so, as well as resources for materials.
Length of Course: 60 minutes

Licensed Nurses: Upstate AHEC is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Upon successful completion of this program, participants will receive 1.0 nursing continuing professional development hour.
AHEC Credit: This educational offering provides 1.0CEUs ( 1.0 clock hour) by Upstate AHEC and meets SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
